Dr. Vineel Singh is the Principal Dentist at Varsity Smiles and has been practising dentistry for more than 25 years. Known to his patients as Dr. Vin, he has a broad interest in general, restorative and cosmetic dentistry and enjoys helping patients understand their oral health and the treatment options available to them.
Dr. Vin completed his Bachelor of Dental Surgery at the University of Otago in New Zealand in 1998. After graduating, he continued his dental career in Australia, practising in Melbourne before later relocating with his family to the Gold Coast. Prior to joining Varsity Smiles as Principal Dentist, he practised in Sanctuary Cove until 2020.
Continuing education has remained an important part of Dr. Vin’s career. In addition to his clinical work, he has contributed to dental education through teaching and mentoring dental students and has been involved in the development of dental devices. His ongoing interest in new techniques and technology reflects his enthusiasm for the profession and for continually developing his clinical knowledge.
Dr. Vin is a member of the Australian Dental Association, which he joined in 1999, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He is also a certified Invisalign Provider and provides care across a range of areas including preventive, general, restorative and cosmetic dentistry, as well as clear aligner treatment.
Dr. Vin recognises that every patient approaches dental treatment differently. For patients who may feel nervous or apprehensive, he places particular emphasis on taking the time to explain what is happening, answering questions and creating a calm and reassuring experience. His approach is centred on understanding each patient’s individual concerns and developing treatment recommendations suited to their oral health needs and goals.
Outside the treatment room, Dr. Vin has strong connections to both New Zealand and Australia. His family’s move to the Gold Coast was influenced in part by his children’s involvement in golf, and he has since made the Gold Coast home while continuing his longstanding involvement in the dental profession.
